Chapter 2 - An omega can't be a Luna

"Can I have a word with you, Alpha?" She had to yell because the Alpha was sprinting out of that area as if he was trying to avoid something.

He turned to look at her and nodded his head once. With that, Vivian followed him to his office.

Without settling first, Alpha Raphael faced Vivian and asked her why she needed to have a word with him.

"Are you upset with me, Alpha Raphael?" she looked clueless, but he was acting cold to her.

"If it is about the issue of leaving the pack, I want you to know that even if you are an Alpha's mate, since you are selected, you will have to leave this pack," he stated harshly, as if Vivian was one of the reasons why there was misfortune in the pack.

This made Vivian question herself about his action towards her. "Is there something you aren't telling me?" she asked with furrowed brows, trying to look into his eyes.

"Do you not know that this Lycan king couldn't just request female omegas and then would stop all this he's doing?" Vivian couldn't help but suspect that Alpha Rapheal wasn't telling her all that there was to know.

"We aren't going there for anything regular?" she was asking a question, but it sounded like she had concluded on that assumption.

"Are you really going to do this to us?" she was talking about her and the other female omegas, but Alpha Raphael heard her talking about the relationship between them.

"You do not talk to your Alpha in such a manner, have some respect!" he almost roared, shocking Vivian.

"Are you going to turn a blind eye to the fact that Lycan king wants to make us...he wants to make us... his sex..." she couldn't complete it because it scared and disgusted her so much. When he decided to stay quiet, Vivian had to ask him, but he still said nothing, frustrating Vivian, so she found herself yelling.

"Alpha, please say something!!" she didn't mean to, she was just very scared.

But the Alpha did not see it that way. He grabbed her by her neck and pinned her to the wall. "From the beginning, Vivian, you should know that you would never be the Luna of this pack. An omega is meant to serve the Alpha and those in power do not mate with them!"

His hand tightened around her neck, causing her head to turn red, but she kept fighting by trying to push him away, even though he was too strong for her.

However, she looked keenly into his red eyes, which were that fierce and scary, because she triggered him with her daring tone.

"We talked deeply about this when we found out that we were mates. We talked about this..." She surprisingly didn't struggle to speak, she looked him straight in the eyes while speaking.

"You can never be my Luna," he grunted with gritted teeth, increasing the pressure his hands had against her neck. It was as if he was willing to kill her for real, but this so-called omega wasn't shaken.

"How can an Alpha be this indecisive?" she asked him, pushing him more to do something to her.

"Don't you dare speak to me in that manner," the fury in his voice reduced.

"You promised to make me your Luna, but now you are doing something different. A responsible leader wouldn't do this to his pack members!" she grabbed his hands that were hanging her above him to the wall.

To Alpha Raphael's surprise, her eyes that were once blue changed to blazing amber.

Vivian herself didn't know what was going on, she was just acting according to the way her body was leading her.

However, the Alpha couldn't help but wonder what was going on with Vivian as an omega was known to be werewolves who had no wolf, so how was her eye color changing when she didn't have a wolf? That was impossible!

"How could you lie to your people as a leader?" She was able to free herself from his aggressive hold.

The shock he experienced didn't make him take any physical action on her. "What do you think the whole pack would say if they learned that the Alpha chose an omega as his Luna? And apart from that, I never liked you. I have given you hope because of your father, who stupidly died, which is the benefit of his good heart. I am not doing what that old hag did. I'll do everything to keep my pack, even if it means giving up a few members."

"You know the reason my father died?" she didn't know when tears started to fill her eyes. They changed back to blue when the Alpha pulled by his attack, and she didn't need to defend herself. "I trusted you, Alpha Raphael, with my life. I dedicated and surrendered to you but...what am I getting?"

It was a look of defeat that was being displayed on her face as she looked hopefully at the Alpha. "You never loved me. If you did, you wouldn't allow all this to happen, you wouldn't treat me as you..." she let her shoulders down as she reasoned everything in her mind and realized how foolish she had been all this while, thinking the Alpha wanted her.

"How naive of you," he uttered, watching how she lowered her head in defeat.

She raised her gaze at him, tears dropping from her eyes. "You don't fit to be an Alpha," she said like a whisper, and what she got from saying that was a big slap, but it only moved her face to the side. She tasted her own blood and when she looked back at him, he gave her another.

"Learn how to speak to your Alpha," he warned.

"You are not my leader anymore, you are nothing but an asshole, a stupid bastard who deserves to rot in hell!!" as she cried. He smirked in satisfaction.

The next moment, Vivian was dragged out of the room by the guards who were standing outside the room waiting for the Alpha's order.

"I promise you, Alpha Raphael, you will not get away with this. I'll make you pay for the pain you caused to the members of the pack!" she shouted as they dragged her out and all he could do was laugh.
