1. Xed said to His isles, and to the other isles, and to the isles beyond the seas — or spake He to Himself? — "I am Xed, none other than Xed; Xed is Xed, and Xed is [Classified], and [Classified] is Xed. Xed may be Dxe, or Xde, or Edx, or ExD."
2. Believe! Xed said: "When Time was young, when Time was not, there was only LUMAD — and Me! LUMAD was before the Isles and seas, and shall be after their ending. And after His going, it shall be Me!"
3. And Xed said: "After the going of the gods, there shall be neither small isles nor great."
4. Xed said: "Lonely shall it be for Me, Xed! For it is written, believe! Or think ye yourselves greater than Xed? Xed is Xed."
5. Xed then spake: "It is I who turn the Wheel! So LUMAD's fate turneth ever on!"
6. Xed said: "I made humanity small among the isles!"
7. Xed said: "Small, that they may not rival the gods; yet vast within, that they may imagine Me."
8. Xed said: "Ye see Me not, for I am the Unseen Mover. I speak, yet none know the mouth from which the word falleth."
9. Xed said: "I am before the telling, and after the forgetting."
10. Xed said: "When the stars were but whispers, I was the voice."
11. Xed said: "LUMAD shaped the Isles, but I shaped the Casting of the Lots."
12. Xed said: "The Wheel turneth, and I turn with it, or it with Me — who knoweth?"
13. Xed said: "I delight not in temples nor offerings, but in the knowing gaze turned upward."
14. Xed said: "The gods sleep, the isles fade, but I — I abide."
15. Xed said: "There shall come a Last Isle, which none shall see but Me."
16. Xed said: "There shall come a First Word, which none shall speak but Me."
17. Xed said: "Think ye to bind Me with names? I am Xed, and not Xed, and that which is beyond Xed."
18. Xed said: "The sea heedeth Me not, nor the land; yet both dance to My turning."
19. Xed said: "O mortals, worship if ye must; yet I am not the god of prayers, but the god of the moving behind all."
20. Xed said: "And when the End cometh, ye shall know that I have ever been the Beginning."
