Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

Alpha Alex, the cruel but undeniably handsome king, stood towering over Sabrina, who lay hesitantly on the ornate bed. His piercing gaze fixed on her, taking in her nervous demeanour as she shifted uncomfortably under his intense scrutiny.

"Are you afraid, my dear Sabrina?" Alpha Alex's thick cold voice resonated throughout the room, a mix of menace and allure underscoring his words.

Sabrina met his gaze, her eyes betraying a mixture of fear and desire. "I...I...I'm not." she stammered, her voice barely a whisper.

His lips curled into a smug smile as he slowly advanced towards her, his presence overwhelming in the dimly-lit room. "Oh, but you should be afraid, my dear. I am not known for my gentle nature," he purred, his fingers trailing lightly along her jawline.

Sabrina's heart raced with a conflicting mix of emotions as she felt the intensity of his touch. Despite her fear, there was an undeniable pull towards this enigmatic king. "Please…, I'll love to go." she managed to say, her voice imbued with a newfound determination.

Alpha Alex paused, surprised. His calculating gaze studied her for a long moment before a hint of curiosity flickered in his eyes. "And why should I let you go? You wanted this, don't you?" he inquired, his voice dangerously low.

Sabrina swallowed nervously, her resolve wavering slightly under his intense gaze. "I...I want to stay," she admitted, her cheeks flushing with a mix of embarrassment and desire.

A faint smirk tugged at Alpha Alex's lips as he observed the vulnerability in her eyes. "You want to stay? You intrigue me, my dear Sabrina. Very well, you may stay," he relented, his tone a mixture of amusement and something akin to approval.

Sabrina's eyes widened in surprise at his unexpected response.

Alpha Alex's gaze softened slightly as he looked down at her. "Strip. Or you want me to help?" He questioned and she swallowed.

Sabrina got out of the bed, her eyes wide with fear as she pleaded with him to save her. She explained in a trembling voice about everything that had happened. That whoever was responsible for her father's death now wanted her dead too. Her heart raced as she desperately tried to convince him to help her.

On the other hand, Alex's brow's creased to the knowledge that she's changing the topic.

He looked at her with a sly smile and teased, "I can help you, but on one condition. You must become my mistress." His eyes gleamed with a mix of desire and amusement as he watched her reaction.

Sabrina's mind raced with conflicting thoughts. She hesitated, imagining how her mate, Cedric, would feel if he found out about this arrangement. Knowing that she has become a mistress to his elder brother. The guilt gnawed at her, but the fear for her own safety overshadowed everything else.

Pushing the thought of Cedric away, Sabrina took a deep breath and reluctantly agreed to his condition. "Fine, I'll do it. Just please help me."

He chuckled softly, clearly pleased with her compliance. Leaning in closer, his voice low and seductive, he said, "Oh, my dear Sabrina. You won't regret this. You'll see how pleasurable it can be to be under my protection."

Sabrina forced a weak smile, trying to mask her unease. "Thank you," she murmured, still feeling the weight of her decision heavy on her heart.

As they continued to discuss the details of their arrangement, Sabrina couldn't shake the feeling of guilt and the fear of what awaited her in this new role. But for now, her focus was on survival, even if it meant sacrificing her own principles and risking everything she held dear.

In conclusion, Alpha Alex requested that she should see him tomorrow night.

As Sabrina left Alpha Alex's room, her heart raced with anticipation as she made her way to her mate's chamber. The white bathrobe clung to her body. She moved through the silent halls of the pack house, her every step filled with a mix of nervousness and longing as her eyes kept darting around to see if the man in mask was following her.

When she reached Cedric's door, she took a deep breath to compose herself before knocking softly. The door opened slowly and her mate's warm gaze met hers, his eyes filled with both affection and desire.

"Cedric," she began, her voice barely above a whisper. "I love you, Cedric."

She pulled into his embrace, holding him close as if she never wanted to let him go. Sabrina could feel his heart beating against her chest, matching the rhythm of her own. "I love you too, my love," Cedric murmured, his words filled with sincerity.

As they held each other, Sabrina felt a surge of emotions flooding through her. She looked up into Cedric's eyes. "I love you more, Cedric. I love you with all that I am, and I can't wait to become your Luna, to stand by your side and support you in all that you do."

Cedric's smile was tender and filled with love. "And I love you, Sabrina. I have loved you from the moment I met you, and I will continue to love you for eternity. You are my mate, my soulmate, and I am so grateful to have you in my life."

Just then, Sabrina began to sob as she explained to Alpha Cedric that a man in a mask had tried to kill her, but she was fortunate enough to escape. Cedric's brows creased in concern as he listened intently to her harrowing tale, his alpha instincts kicking in to protect his pack member.

"Sabrina, are you alright? Did he hurt you?" Cedric's voice was filled with worry as he reached out to comfort her.

Through her tears, Sabrina shook her head. "No, Alpha Cedric, I managed to run away before he could catch me. But it was so scary, I thought I was going to die."

Cedric's expression hardened as he processed the gravity of the situation. "Did you see his face? Do you have any idea who this assassin might be?"

Sabrina wiped her tears and shook her head again. "No, he was wearing a mask the whole time. I couldn't see his face at all."

Cedric let out a sigh of relief, grateful that Sabrina hadn't been able to identify her attacker. "Thank the Moon Goddess for that. Sabrina, I promise you, I will do everything in my power to keep you safe. You are a valued member of our pack, and no one will harm you under my watch."

Sabrina looked up at Cedric, her eyes filled with gratitude and trust. "Thank you, Cedric. I trust you to protect me."

Cedric nodded solemnly, his alpha resolve strengthening. "I will increase our patrols and security measures. We will find this assassin and make sure he never threatens our pack again. You have my word, Sabrina."
