I can't believe this. After everything I did, I still wasn't able to get Matteo or capture him. I know he's with his wife—that's why he didn't make a move on me. And this was the only chance I had. He might know where the money is. That's one problem.
But the second, and the real reason I'm furious, is that he humiliated me—threatened me and made a mockery of me right in front of the casino. People gathered. My team was there. Other gangs and mafia groups were there too. He shamed me in front of everyone. I walked away in disgrace.
I did everything—I bugged him, tried to listen in—but nothing worked. He's going to pay. I don't care if he's the boss. I don't care if he runs the mafia. He might know where the money is, but that's not even my main concern anymore. I'm going to kill him because of the shame he brought upon me in that casino."
Mario said this through gritted teeth, his eyes locked on Matteo's guard, who was tied to a chair.
"So what do you plan to do now?" the guard asked, breathing heavily.
"Don't worry," Mario replied coldly. "I'm not going to kill you. I'm going to make you suffer before you die. Prepare yourself. This was one of the only chances I had, and you helped ruin it. And I knew he wouldn't attack me while his wife was with him. That's why I took the risk."
He stepped closer. "So now, you'll pay. For everything. The torture. The pain. You'll feel it all."
The guard chuckled weakly, despite the pain. "You really think you can defeat the boss? Even if he was with his wife? Even if he was shot? You? A weakling like you can't kill him. You're a nobody. A loser. Remember that."
"What did you just say?" Mario snapped. He stood, grabbed the guard by the jaw, and hissed, "Say that again, you piece of shit!"
He began to punch him, then used his gun to beat the guard's face, over and over.
The guard soon lost consciousness, but Mario didn't stop.
"Boss, please!" One of Mario men said. "He's already knocked out. I don't think it's wise to kill him—he's one of Matteo's best bodyguards."
Mario paused, breathing hard. Then he said, "Okay. I understand. Tie him up. When he wakes up, hang him from the ceiling. Clean his wounds, treat the injuries. But once he's conscious again… make sure he gets a good whipping. Got it?"
"Yes, boss."
Mario gave one last glance at the guard's bloodied face, pointed his gun at him for a moment, then turned and walked out of the room.
It looks like the boss is angry. Everyone, you have to behave yourselves. The boss forgets that it wasn't just Matteo bodyguard face he injured—he was also shot in the leg when he was at the spa. We have to treat is face and removed the bullet from his leg. After that storm, we tied him to the ceiling. When he woke up, we were going to whip him," one of Mario men said, and they all laughed.
Matteo, on the other hand, was really, really frustrated and angry because of what happened today.
"Luna, I think we should go home," Matteo said.
"But we're just getting started. Let's go to the next place," Luna said.
"Please, understand, Luna," Matteo said.
Luna was suspecting something wasn't right. She knew something was wrong somewhere.
"Okay, we can go home. But you said we were going to have fun today. No problem, since you said you're tired—maybe another day," Luna said.
"Thank you for understanding," Matteo said, as he went back to his thoughts.
