Synopsis
Long ago, Earth fought a god — and survived. Now, centuries later, in a world where power is determined by codes, a boy named Sage unlocks a truth even he doesn’t understand. "Congratulations. You have unlocked the Demi-God System." But darkness moves, and betrayal festers. And if Sage can’t master the storm inside him, he won’t just fail the prophecy… He’ll finish what the gods started. **** Something crept out of the darkness… Or rather, someone. "Is that...?" Vera began, but the words caught in her throat, choked by the weight of what she was seeing. Kol tightened his grip around her hand, a slight grin curving on his lips. Born cursed. Chosen by a system. Hunted by the gods. He’s not humanity’s last hope. He’s their final gamble.

Chapter 1 - The last hope

It wasn't going to be an ordinary day. Thunder cracked over the hillside. It wasn't a soft glow or a steady hum. It was wild spiralling and scorching the ground.

"I can help you", a male voice boomed in the chaos. I have delved into the power of the 12 rings.

" How?, a female voice said. Her voice was slightly shaken with a sense of urgency.

"I can cast a seal or I think I can...." , he muttered more softly like a whisper.

"Do it...,she whispered softly.

DO IT, she said again, this time sounding more certain

" And also please ...take care of him", she added tears welling up in her eyes.

"I will..", he said holding her hands slightly in his and squeezing it lightly.

The female stood to leave her brunette coloued hair flying in the wind.

Why did you have to give me such a hard task , sister...

Packing up her Brunette coloured hair, Aurora ran through the woods . She saw pitched forks everywhere, fire burning through the woods. She knew she was totally surrounded but one side of her didn't want to give up. One side wanted her to reach that Welton bridge and escape to freedom.

Find her!! .

She could hear men scuffling towards her their intentions well known . She trotted fast in the forest, smashing leaves and breaking branches as she passed. One thing she was thankful for was her yellow code. It wasn't the strongest but the wind was much needed right now making her faster than she already was.

But still, she could hear the resonance of their foot steps becoming louder. She knew after his birth things were going to get complicated as people always fear power they do not understand and she knew to protect him she had to run or die.

She wanted to see him one more time hold him once more her sweet sweet child . She looped hurriedly in the forest.By this time she could see them their yellow eyes blazing with so much hate.

"There she is ,stop her!! , Declan one of the most powerful Slayers shouted.

She ran in circles realizing she was completely surrounded all around filled with snarls ready to snap.

She felt a sharp pain in her arm and she realized she had been shot with something .

A tranquilizer?...bullet..?

She squeamed in pain as more kept coming her way. She didn't want to die this way She squatted there clothes torn with blood trailing all over her body, her body shaking with the wind.

But the pains felt didn't surpass her fear.

She saw the Slayers scuttling to the side and she knew he had come . She lowered her gaze not wanting to see his face. She could tell he was standing inches away from her but she didn't want to look. She knew her eyes would betray her, fear written all over her pupils.

Then like the essence of a captivating rhythm, she heard it .His voice came out as more of a whisper but it's pull was strong enough to draw her eyes to his gaze , the gaze she so desperately wanted to avoid.

Her mind was still caught within his words. "Aurora", he called.

She could feel his aura, his sheer personality blasting through the air speaking volumes,no one dared to take another step but there was something about him that was off she could tell but wasn't sure what .

"What should we do about her, Sire", Declan said bringing her mind back to her predicament. He looked at her staring into her hazel eyes .For a moment he looked unsure , his brows furrowing. A feeling of hope washed over her.

He turned to Declan, his face becoming grim his aura enveloping him once more .

KILL HER, he shouted.

She squirmed and shook as she was tied to a tree with silver chains . She could feel her strength fading. She looked at him. The only man known by his colour code "black".

She braced herself as she felt the heat rise from the fire around her . All her strength had gone and she hung there feeling her eyes slowly closing, the silver chains melting into her skin.

"Sage my child.., she whispered as her eyes finally shut.
