Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 {Punishment}

On Thursday morning

Arwen woke up and her eyes slowly looked at the ceiling. She let out a cough and she looked at herself in the mirror she really did not understand why she had to be here all the time.

Arwen opened the door the moment she opened the door her eyes landed on a girl with a red hair. The red head girl her name is Song Mei.

"So you are General Ye new plaything?" Song Mei asked Arwen was indifferent.

"And..?"

Song Mei slapped Arwen across the face.

"A slut like you stay away from General Ye!" Song Mei said. Arwen was so angry she slapped Song Mei across the face and Song Mei gasped shocked.

Song Mei's hand flew to her cheek, her eyes widening in shock at Arwen's sudden retaliation. She hadn't expected the other woman to fight back, especially not with such force.

"You dare hit me?" she hissed, her voice low and venomous.

Arwen's eyes flashed with anger, her hand stinging from the slap. She stepped closer to Song Mei, her voice cold and steady.

"I dare a lot of things," she said, her tone dripping with disdain.

"You think you can just waltz in here and insult me? I'm not one of your little playthings, Song Mei. I'm Arwen Winslow, and I won't tolerate your jealousy or your accusations."

Song Mei's face twisted with rage, her cheeks flushed with humiliation.

"You think you're special, don't you?" she spat.

An hour later Arwen was asked to go to Ye Shufen office when she stood in place Song Mei was also there sitting on Ye Shufen lap.

"Apologize to Song Mei."

"I refuse," Arwen said. Ye Shufen flickered his hand and two guards grabbed Arwen and forced her to knees. Song Mei was so happy when she saw Arwen being forced to kneel down.

Arwen struggled against the guards' grip, her pride and dignity warring with the fear that gripped her heart. She glared up at Ye Shufen, her eyes blazing with defiance.

"You're pathetic," she spat, her voice shaking with rage and humiliation.

Ye Shufen's expression darkened, his eyes narrowing dangerously. He stood, lifting Song Mei off his lap and setting her aside. He walked over to Arwen, his steps slow and deliberate.

"Pathetic?" he repeated, his voice low and menacing.

"You're the one on your knees, Arwen. You're the one who needs to learn her place."

He reached down, gripping her chin roughly and forcing her to look up at him.

"You will apologize to Song Mei. You will grovel if you have to. And you will do it now."

His grip tightened, his fingers digging into her skin. Arwen gasped, tears of pain and anger stinging her eyes.

"I... l won't apologize!"

"Fine then take her to basement no food or water," Ye Shufen said.

"Ye Shufen!" Arwen shouted as she taken away by the guards.

Arwen struggled against the guards' grip as they dragged her away, her screams echoing through the mansion. Song Mei watched with a smug smile, savoring the sight of Arwen's humiliation.

The guards threw Arwen into the basement, slamming the door shut behind her. She stumbled, catching herself on the cold stone wall. The room was dark and damp, the air thick with the smell of mold and decay.

Arwen sank to the floor, her body shaking with anger and despair. Tears streamed down her face, mingling with the dirt and grime that coated her skin. She was trapped, helpless, at the mercy of a monster.

As the hours ticked by, Arwen's stomach growled with hunger, her throat parched for water. But she refused to beg, refused to give Ye Shufen the satisfaction.

"General Ye asked if you are already to kneel and beg forgive from Song Mei."

"FUCK OFF!" Arwen shouted.

The guard's footsteps retreated, leaving Arwen alone once more in the darkness. She hugged her knees to her chest, rocking back and forth as she tried to ignore the gnawing hunger and thirst that plagued her.

Hours turned into days, and Arwen's strength began to wane. Her once vibrant eyes were now sunken and dull, her skin pale and gaunt. But still, she refused to break, refused to apologize to Song Mei.

On the fifth day, the basement door creaked open. Ye Shufen stood in the doorway, his tall frame silhouetted against the light. He looked down at Arwen, his expression unreadable.

"You're stubborn," he said, his voice echoing in the small room.

Arwen lifted her head, her gaze defiant despite her weakened state.

"And you're a monster," she whispered, her voice hoarse from dehydration.

Ye Shufen sighed, a hint of admiration in his eyes.

"I admire your spirit, Arwen. But even the strongest wills can be broken."

Arwen just ignored him Ye Shufen held his hand out it was soup he put it in his mouth and the next second he grabbed Arwen neck and kissed her deeply.

Arwen gasped, the warmth of the soup spreading through her mouth as Ye Shufen kissed her deeply. She wanted to pull away, to resist, but her body betrayed her. She was too weak, too hungry, too thirsty.

Ye Shufen's tongue pushed into her mouth, sharing the soup with her. It was a perverse act of domination, a cruel twist on a simple gesture of mercy. Arwen hated him, hated herself for accepting his kindness, no matter how twisted it may be.

When he finally pulled away, Arwen was panting, her cheeks flushed and her heart racing. Ye Shufen smiled, a cruel, satisfied smirk.

"There," he said, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.

"Eat the rest. You need your strength."

He held out the bowl, his eyes challenging her to refuse.

Arwen threw the bowl on the ground.

"I rather starve to death!" Arwen shouted.

"Arwen! You! Fine starve to death!" Ye Shufen shouted.

Ye Shufen's face contorted with rage, his eyes flashing dangerously. He had offered her mercy, and she had spat it back in his face. His hand tightened into a fist, his knuckles turning white.

"You foolish girl," he growled, his voice low and menacing.

"If that's how you want to play it, then so be it."

He turned on his heel, storming out of the basement and slamming the door behind him. The sound echoed through the darkness, a final, ominous note.

Arwen sank back against the wall, her body shaking with exhaustion and despair. She had won this round, but at what cost? She was trapped, starving, with no hope of escape.

Two days later

Ye Shufen stood over Arwen's unconscious form, his heart racing with a fear he hadn't felt in years. He knelt beside her, his strong hands gentle as he brushed a strand of hair from her face.

"Arwen," he whispered, his voice barely audible.

"Wake up."

But she didn't stir, her breathing shallow and labored. Ye Shufen's mind raced, his thoughts consumed with the possibility of losing her. He couldn't bear the thought, couldn't imagine a world without her fiery spirit and defiant gaze.

He scooped her up into his arms, cradling her against his chest as he carried her out of the basement. The guards watched in shock as he rushed past, their mouths agape.

"Send for the doctor," he barked, his voice commanding and urgent. Ye Shufen private doctors walked inside Ye Shufen room and this was the first time he has ever allowed Ang woman in his room not even his own woman cousins or sisters are allowed in this room.

Crush.

"If she dies you die with her!" Ye Shufen shouted taking his temper out of the poor doctor he was like a child who was angry and needed to vent his frustration.
