Chapter 3 - CHAPTER TWO

Here's the polished, English, and third-person version of your scene. I've adjusted sentence flow, simplified complex terms, and enhanced clarity while preserving your original tone and the mysterious, slightly sarcastic voice of the protagonist:

He finally reached the towering structure and quickly stepped inside the building's transparent elevator. He was running late—just a few minutes left before his class officially started.

From the glass walls of the elevator, he saw the vast expanse of the university grounds. It was far larger than he expected. Although he wasn't happy about studying here, even he couldn't deny the impressive beauty of the campus.

The elevator chimed and opened on the third floor. A guy with neatly combed black hair stepped in. He wore glasses, but what stood out more was the powerful Spectre energy surrounding him—it was hard to ignore.

When the guy saw him, confusion flashed across his face. But as his gaze landed on the new student's necktie, his eyes widened.

"Oh? So you must be the transfer scholar the Headmistress mentioned! I'm Tyler Velasco, third year," the guy introduced himself with a smile and extended his hand.

The new student didn't shake it. He simply frowned.

Scratching his head awkwardly, Tyler added, "Sorry, I must've surprised you. I was actually on my way to meet the Headmistress too. She asked me to give you a tour."

Seriously? That old woman again.

"You're not the talkative type, huh? That's okay, I was the same when I first got here." Tyler smiled again.

That's when the new student noticed Tyler's necktie—identical to his own. He was also a scholar.

They reached the final floor, and the doors opened to reveal a desk where a woman sat. She wore so much makeup she could easily pass for a clown. This was the Headmistress.

"Oh! Awelistein, you're finally here," she said, standing and gracefully walking toward him in a sparkly pink cape layered over a medieval-style white gown. Again, just one more swipe of blush and she'd be circus-ready.

Her fashion sense was a disaster.

"C-Can't… breathe…" he choked out when she suddenly hugged him tightly.

She released him, laughing. "Haha! I just missed you, my godson. It's been years!"

Yes. Unfortunately, this woman was his godmother—and the Headmistress of the academy.

He didn't respond. Instead, he silently handed over the papers she needed to sign.

"You really don't like talking, huh?" she sighed while accepting the documents and walking back to her desk.

"So, it looks like you two have already met," she continued. "Tyler, I've already given you your task, right? Make sure he gets familiar with the school. And you—my dear godson—enjoy your tour. Come back this afternoon to pick up these signed papers."

Wait. This guy was really going to tour him around?

"Yes, Headmistress," Tyler agreed quickly.

Tch.

"I still have my classes," the boy replied, clearly uninterested in the tour.

"You can start your classes tomorrow, my godson. And you, Tyler, do your best. It took me eight long years to convince him to study here."

"You have my word, Headmistress," Tyler said with a grin. "Even the bathroom layout, he won't forget."

The Headmistress laughed loudly at that.

Tch. What kind of situation did I get myself into?

He had been content studying in a common school in District Seven, living in a small apartment his godmother paid for. But all that changed when he received yet another letter from this academy.

She kept trying to convince him to transfer. He kept refusing.

She knew him well—how much he hated being around Elites. And this school? It was practically built for them.

He preferred being in a place where everyone was equal. At least in a public school, no one flaunted their status.

But his godmother was relentless. She found a way to pull him into this academy. He had no choice but to agree.

Even so, he decided: if she wanted him recognized, he would do the opposite. Keep a low profile.

She was a fool. Did she not think what could happen if his true identity was revealed?

The tour began as they left the office.

Their first stop was the building next to the faculty lounge.

"This is the cafeteria," Tyler said. "Be careful in this area, okay? Seating is assigned by status. Scholars like us are only allowed to sit on the blue chairs and tables. Brown ones are for Guild members or 'Pawns', green for Elites, silver for Nobles, and red for Royalties."

He led him around the cafeteria as he explained.

"The serving counter? You'll usually see blues, browns, and greens lining up. Silvers and Reds? They rely on the people around them to get food. If you ever come face to face with one of them… just follow their orders. They're basically the bullies of this school."

Seriously? Bullies… in the 37th century?

The entire cafeteria screamed luxury—though the loud, color-coded chairs and tables made it feel more like a theme park than a school.

What kind of ridiculous system was this?

After leaving the cafeteria, they walked toward the wide, open field at the center of the university.

"I'm guessing you've already seen the map," Tyler said casually. "But since I'm feeling generous today, I'll still explain everything. That building right there," he pointed to a towering structure in the northwest, "is the Industrial Building. Most students who don't want to become Royal Knights or join the New Order Alliance study there."

The building was massive, probably around fifty floors tall—one of the biggest in the entire Adarna University.

So there were a lot of students who didn't want to serve the Four Great Families after all.

The New Order Alliance was a powerful organization that had been formed during the first great war in the early 200s. Back then, four powerful families from each continent made a deal to end the chaos and bring peace to the world.

That war—the first civil war among Spectres in the new era—had taken countless lives just as the world was beginning to recover again.

According to legends, it was a warrior named Adarna, a Phoenix Spectre, who brought the war to an end. She became a symbol of peace, and the Four Kingdoms built this academy in her honor.

Tyler kept talking. "Over there, in the southwest, is the Spectre Building. You'll notice it has two towers. That's because students are separated by class. Blues, Browns, and Elites are in the common tower. Nobles and Royalties, on the other hand, study in the luxury tower, which is on the west side of the building."

He glanced at his companion. "Since we're both scholars—Blues—we belong to the left tower. And just so you know, common students aren't allowed to step into the luxury tower unless they get permission from someone in the Lux Class."

He explained everything clearly, one step at a time.

The transfer student let out a long sigh.

This school was unbelievably unfair.

Wasn't this place built to unite the four kingdoms? Because all he could see was how divided everything was. What kind of school still had a caste system in this day and age?

Tyler led him further down the path.

"Behind both the Spectre and Industrial Buildings is the stadium. You probably saw it on the map too. That's where the Spectre training and other physical or combat-related classes are held," he said. "I won't show you the other buildings—they're only for students in the Secondary and Prelim Divisions."

Then Tyler looked back. "What's your course, by the way?"

"Advanced Biology and Magic Science," the student answered reluctantly. He didn't really want to talk, but Tyler was trying to be nice.

"Oh cool, same department!" Tyler grinned. "I'm on the sixth floor, and you're on the second. Not too far."

He even winked at him.

Yeah. Scratch that. He was annoying. Can I punch this guy?

The new student just stared at him blankly.

At least the weather wasn't too hot today. It was bearable standing in the middle of the field.

"Anyway, next stop—one of the school's most visited areas. Adarna University has five historical gardens: Eren, Rosette, Palvista, Reina, and Ossini. They're all in different corners of the campus. Students love hanging out there when they're not in class—or eating in the cafeteria. You can see the locations on the map."

Tyler turned and said with a smirk, "Now, let's go check out the Dormitory. I'll show you where you'll be staying."

Before the transfer student could even say anything, Tyler grabbed him by the arm and started dragging him along.
