Sil PoV
I bounced around as I waited with Alli for Kiki to show up.
Alli giggled at me, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Sil, calm down, ya gonna drill a hole in the ground with all that bouncin'!"
I grinned at her, trying to settle my energy but failing miserably. "I can't help it, Alli! It's been forever since Kiki and I hung out. I've got so much to tell her, and I bet she's got stories too!"
Alli shook her head, still smiling. "It hasn't been a week, Sil."
"Well, it feels like months to me!"
She giggled. "I know, I know. But if ya keep bouncin' like that, you'll tire yourself out before she even gets here."
I laughed, tryin' to stand still for a moment. "I'll try, but no promises. Ya know how much I look forward to these meetups."
The sun was shining, and a gentle breeze rustled through the trees, carrying the scent of wildflowers. It was the perfect day for running around, and I hoped Kiki would show up soon so we could make the most of it.
