"Yes, you had your follower investigate my power, so I'll show you my power directly!" Robert looked at the Moon God Khonshu with a smile, undeterred by Khonshu's slightly softened attitude.
To put it bluntly, Robert was here to stir up trouble. He was very interested in Khonshu's power, and with Khonshu giving him a reason, Robert wasn't about to let this opportunity pass.
When he first arrived at Helipolis, Robert had already sensed the overall situation. Helipolis wasn't filled with as many deities as Egyptian mythology suggested. Despite finding ways to break free from the power of faith and alter their divine power, many deities had still declined after leaving Earth.
For top-tier deities like a God-King, this might not make much difference, but for major deities, the impact was significant. Robert hadn't sensed anyone in Helipolis who could rival God-King Odin. There were more powerful beings on the level of Queen Frigga, but such power didn't concern Robert. After all, Clark was with him, and the Moon God in front of him wasn't as formidable as he had anticipated. Khonshu's aura didn't reach the level of a lower-tier sky father.
"Kryptonian, are you sure you won't interfere?" After hearing Robert's words, Khonshu paused, glancing at Clark, testing the waters.
"Don't worry, as long as it's a fair fight between you two, I won't intervene." Clark nodded, looking at Kara behind Robert, and added, "She won't interfere either..."
"She doesn't matter; as long as you stay out of it..." Khonshu looked warily at Clark, then locked his gaze on Robert. Robert felt a large amount of bright moonlight suddenly surround and lock onto him.
"A domain?" Robert raised an eyebrow, growing serious. A surge of fighting spirit erupted from him, turning into a tangible force that began to affect the surrounding moonlight.
"Such terrifying fighting spirit!" Geb, standing nearby, looked gravely at Robert, who was radiating an intense fighting aura. "Even the war gods like Set in our pantheon don't have this kind of fighting spirit. Who is this guy? Can a mortal be this terrifying?"
The tangible fighting spirit Robert exhibited shocked the deities of Helipolis. Unlike other pantheons, Helipolis had a chaotic system of divine positions, with many deities sharing overlapping roles. Hence, multiple gods could be considered war gods, yet none had displayed fighting spirit like Robert's.
"Impressive!" Khonshu's expression grew serious. Although he hadn't sensed a threatening power from Robert, the tangible fighting spirit was enough to affect his consciousness. Khonshu also hadn't forgotten that Robert could transform into a Saiyan Great Ape.
However, Robert had no intention of transforming into the Great Ape. Khonshu, despite being a deity, was human-sized, and Robert wasn't inclined to use his massive Great Ape form against such an opponent.
With a hum, Khonshu vanished into moonlight. Feeling the threat, Robert instantly transformed, unleashing the power of the Great Ape's rage, with his fists blazing.
In a flash, green spirals of energy surrounded Robert, his pupils filled with wild, crazed battle intent. Fully transformed, he launched a hardened punch behind him.
Khonshu materialized there, caught off guard. He thought he was ambushing Robert but found himself on the receiving end instead.
With a crash, Khonshu's crescent staff blocked Robert's punch, but the explosive force made his arm tremble slightly.
In the next moment, the crescent staff emitted a bright moonlight, Khonshu's divine power. This power not only neutralized the force from Robert's punch but also aimed to send Robert flying.
Khonshu's plan was to use his divine power to push Robert into his domain, gaining absolute control and teaching Robert a lesson.
Given Clark's presence, potentially a sky father-level being, Khonshu couldn't kill Robert without risking a major conflict with Clark, which would be disastrous for Helipolis.
Khonshu had even planned his next steps, but Robert's unexpected reaction threw everything off. Robert's body didn't budge, his power undiminished by Khonshu's divine force. Instead, Robert's energy mixed with his fighting spirit and struck Khonshu's staff again, sending Khonshu flying.
"What?!" Khonshu couldn't believe it. Why hadn't his divine power affected Robert? Confusion flashed in his hawk-like eyes, but he quickly focused as a powerful moonlight shield enveloped him.
At that moment, a strong ki blast hit the moonlight barrier, pushing Khonshu back again. Meanwhile, Robert vanished.
"Did you really think your speed could surpass mine?!" Robert reappeared behind Khonshu, but this time Khonshu, regaining his composure, spoke coldly. With a swift movement, his crescent staff turned into a scythe, aiming to reap Robert's life.
With a clang, Robert's arm formed a blade of energy, clashing with Khonshu's staff. The metallic sound marked the moment Robert blocked Khonshu's attack, balancing the fight.
Clang!
Clang!
Clang!
After this clash, both Robert and Khonshu vanished again, leaving only the sound of their battle echoing in the air.
"This Helipolis seems sturdier than Asgard..." Clark noted, observing the fight. The battle waves weren't as intense as Robert's fight with Frigga, but they still had a significant impact.
Yet, Helipolis showed no signs of shaking. The environment and space remained intact, as if the battle couldn't damage it.
"Ah, I see. There were no gods protecting their homeland in Asgard... No wonder they didn't want to fight me. If I attacked, all the gods would need to defend Helipolis together, leaving it unprotected..." Clark quickly realized Helipolis' secret. Unlike Asgard, Helipolis had more gods to fortify their realm during battles, using divine power to stabilize the dimension.
"Good! Very good! You've earned my recognition!" After countless clashes, Khonshu shouted, his moonlight power glowing brighter. His crescent staff merged into his body, transforming his fingers into talons. His speed surpassed Robert's limits.
With a swish, Khonshu's talons broke through Robert's energy shield, drawing blood. Robert's expression grew serious, realizing Khonshu's true power exceeded his expectations. To match this, he needed more battle experience.
Khonshu's performance indicated he was a speed-type fighter, a domain where he excelled. Robert struggled to keep up, barely blocking a few attacks with instinct, but accumulating more wounds.
Robert felt like prey under an eagle's talons, trying to track Khonshu's attacks to dodge or counter, but the speed difference left him no openings.
However, as Robert found no breakthrough, he noticed something strange. As his energy shield was breached and he accumulated wounds, the surrounding moonlight invaded his body, especially through the injuries. This moonlight, not under Robert's control, triggered an uncontrollable transformation.
With a low roar, as if an ancient beast had awakened, Robert's body expanded. His Great Ape's rage form shattered, marking the first time Robert's form broke in this manner. A surge of uncontrollable anger burned within him.
Roaring in fury, Robert's powerful voice shook the surroundings. Khonshu, ready to continue his assault, paused, looking gravely at the transforming Great Ape Robert.
Khonshu had previously observed the Great Ape Robert through the Moon Knight, but seeing it firsthand was startling.
Especially now, Khonshu sensed the moonlight he emitted was truly absorbed by the Great Ape Robert, no longer under his control.
Moreover, the Great Ape Robert's power was now even stronger, exuding wild, violent energy that destabilized the moonlight domain.
With a whoosh, the transformed Robert fired a powerful mouth beam at Khonshu.
Facing this attack, Khonshu dodged, not daring to take it head-on.
A massive explosion resounded in Helipolis, leaving a huge crater, showcasing Robert's destructive power. Perhaps this crater could later become an artificial lake.
