The Alpha had just arrived. A respectful silence fell over the pack. The Alpha slowly advanced to the center, imposing and upright, his eyes shining with a particular intensity.
"I am Eldrick, Alpha of this pack and loyal to the Wolf King."
His voice carried far, deep, marked by age and experience.
"This meeting is not taking place on an ordinary evening. It is neither planned nor connected to the full moon. It is because the hour is grave."
A shudder ran through the crowd. Eldrick paused, scrutinizing each of his members.
"My friends... we are in great danger."
Whispers immediately arose, nervous whispers.
"Silence!" Eldrick said, clapping his hands three times.
Calm returned immediately.
"As I was saying, we are in danger," he continued slowly. "And that danger is called Varek."
A cold breath passed over the assembly. Some elders exchanged alarmed glances. Some younger ones frowned, confused.
"The elders among you know that name well… For the younger ones, know this: Varek is a forgotten shadow, a threat even history prefers to keep silent. But his return is close. Too close."
He continued.
"From now on, everyone must train. Each one, every day. The elders will teach you what they know. For the enemy can strike at any time."
A murmur of respect rose as the Alpha turned away. All bowed as he left.
