Chapter 1 - Kindness sends one to early grave

All her life Doulia always hear the phrases,'being too kind will send you to your early grave' and'mind your own business ' , she never understand why until now.

"woah, now I understand why you should mind your own business, if you don't want to end up dead" she whines

"If there's another life I'm going to be selfish as hell, no more kindness " she said casually

Few hours earlier [not even sure anymore]

----

The sun had just dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the empty street. Doulia clutched a plastic bag filled with snacks—just a few bags of chips and a bottled soda—planning to watch her favorite drama before bed. Her earbuds played soft music, drowning out the world.

Then she heard it.

"Help... please…"

She froze, pulling out one earbud. The voice was faint, coming from a dark, narrow alley between two buildings.

"Is someone there?" she called, heart beginning to race.

"Please… help me… " the voice croaked again, trembling with pain.

Doulia hesitated. Her fingers tightened around the bag. What if it's real? What if someone needs help and I just walk away? she's not one to walk away when someone is in need of help. Finally making a decision,

She stepped closer to the alley's mouth, peering into the shadows. It was too dark to see anything clearly.

"Where are you?"

No reply. Just heavy, ragged breathing.

Gritting her teeth, Doulia stepped inside, her phone gripped tight in one hand. "Hello? I'm coming in, okay?"

Two steps. Three.

Suddenly, a figure leapt from the side, grabbing her. Another blocked the exit behind her.

"What—?!"

Hands snatched her phone, tearing the snack bag from her grip. "What the hell? Where's your wallet?!"

"I—I don't have anything! Just snacks, I swear!"

"Don't lie to us!" one snarled, pushing her to the wall.

"I'm telling the truth!" she cried, breath hitching in panic. "Please—don't hurt me—"

But one of them was already pulling out a knife, eyes wild. "Waste of time," he muttered. "She saw our faces."

"No, no, I didn't—I won't tell anyone, I promise!"

There was a flash of steel. Then silence.

The alley swallowed her scream.

Her snacks spilled onto the ground beside her, untouched.
