"No, ma'am, that's the boss's instruction."
I let the bile in my throat settle and entered the restroom. I wasn't really pressed, but I looked around, no means of escape.
Soon I was out, and he closely followed me back to the car. Every instinct screamed that I should shout, run, or do something. I looked around again, but his arms held mine tightly.
"Ma'am, I'm sorry, but you have to get into the car now," he said calmly.
I bit my lower lip hard, drawing blood. How low they've made me sink.
We arrived at the mansion moments later; Alex's mansion, I scoffed at the thought as I stepped out of the car. As far as I was concerned, it wasn't home. My thoughts screamed, I checked his room for the copy of the AGREEMENT.
I hurried into the building, my feet clicking with sheer grief and reluctance as I stopped at Alex's door.
I wondered if I could find anything in there. I paused and stared at the door, my mind blank.
