The Next Morning…
The soft light of dawn filtered through the curtains of the Pokémon Center, casting a golden hue across the quiet rooms. In one of them, the muffled sound of running water and brushing echoed from the bathroom.
Ash, still groggy from last night's chaotic battle, stood at the sink in a loose shirt and boxers, lazily brushing his teeth.
"Mmff… still can't believe Team Rocket actually blew up the ceiling…" he muttered around his toothbrush.
Across the hall, Misty was humming lightly, tying up her hair after a refreshing shower. "At least Nurse Joy didn't make you pay for it," she called out teasingly.
After freshening up, Ash stepped out in his signature outfit—cap tilted slightly, confident as always. Pikachu was already stretching on the windowsill, tail twitching with energy.
"Alright, buddy. Let's fuel up and hit the road!" Ash grinned.
"Pika-pi!"
Soon, Ash and Misty met up in the cafeteria, the morning bustle of trainers, nurses, and Pokémon all around them. Plates of toast, scrambled eggs, and fruit sat between them as they ate in companionable silence.
Misty finally broke it. "So… last night was kinda wild, huh?"
Ash nodded, chewing. "Yeah. I didn't think Team Rocket would actually try storming a Pokémon Center. That was new."
Misty sipped her juice. "They've got guts, I'll give them that. Zero brains, but guts."
Misty chuckled. "Pikachu was amazing, though. Totally smoked them."
Pikachu looked up from its own little dish of berries and purred proudly. "Pika-chuuu~"
They laughed softly. But then, all of a sudden, Ash stopped mid-bite.
His fork hovered in the air. His expression turned serious.
Something… was calling out to him.
A strange warmth pulsed faintly through his chest. It wasn't like a noise or a voice—it was a feeling, strong and deep, like an unspoken connection reaching out to him.
Ash stood up suddenly.
Misty blinked. "Huh? What's wrong?"
Ash shook his head slowly, eyes narrowing. "I'm not sure. But I feel something… something important. What ... What or who could it be?"
Pikachu tilted its head, sensing the shift. "Pika?"
Ash left his plate half-eaten. "I'll be back in a bit, Misty. I just… I need to check something."
Without waiting for an answer, Ash walked briskly out of the cafeteria, guided by nothing but that growing pull—an invisible thread tugging him gently yet urgently.
He passed through quiet hallways of the Center, winding past recovery rooms and storage chambers. Then, as if by instinct, he stopped in front of a door near the back.
He knew it this was the place.
Ash reached out and slowly turned the knob.
The door creaked open.
Inside was a dimly lit room, quiet and cool. A faint, blue glow shimmered from the center, where a small pedestal sat beneath a skylight.
On it was a Pokémon Egg
—round, smooth, and glowing faintly with an aura of soft blue and white. It pulsed gently, almost like a heartbeat.
'Is it what I think it is? ' Ash thought,amazed.
Nurse Joy's voice came from behind him.
She smiled gently, stepping beside him. "That egg… was given to me by a daycare, it's very special . It's been here for a while, dormant. But this morning, it flared for the first time."
"You felt it… didn't you?"
Ash turned. "Yeah. What is this?"
The egg suddenly moved towards him.
Ash blinked. "Really ?"
Ash touched the egg and it started glowing.
She nodded. " I think, This egg belongs to a Pokémon that chooses its trainer. It seems… it chose you. I think you should take care of the egg."
Ash's heart skipped a beat. "Me?"
Joy gestured to the egg. "This egg was found in the Sinnoh Region , it sill hasn't hatched yet. It responded to your presence. That connection you felt—it was real. "
Ash took a step forward, eyes wide. The closer he got, the more his heart raced. He gently placed his hands around the egg, feeling its warmth.
The egg pulsed brighter.
Pikachu stepped beside him, staring with curiosity. "Pikaaa…"
Ash smiled slowly, deeply. This was really riolu's egg. His own aura Pokemon.
"Please take care of it Ash I think even the Pokemon egg agrees with it. "Nurse Joy said gently smiling.
"By the way , my name is Ash. Then… I'll take care of you . I promise."
The egg pulsed one more time.
A bond had been formed.

Ash put the egg in a incubator he got from his system.
Misty said, "Wow! A Pokemon egg. It's my first time seeing one up so close."
"Do you know what kind Pokemon it is ?"
"Well I don't know but I have a feeling we will be close friends "
"That's good but I am so jealous right now. I also want a Pokemon. let's go we should hurry I also want to capture some good Pokemons."
'Oh, I also have to capture the mystery Token Pokemons let's see' Ash said internally thinking strategies how he was gonna capture them.
"Okay let's say good bye to nurse Joy and start our adventure again "
"Okay"
When they went to nurse Joy, she said Ash's reward money has been transferred to his bank account directly. He can check it anytime but Ash just said shrugged he will check it later. After that Ash, Misty and Pikachu said goodbye to nurse Joy and left the Pokemon centre and headed towards Viridian forest.

Into the Viridian Wilds

The dirt path stretched out ahead, winding through tall grass and dense trees. Shafts of sunlight pierced through the leafy canopy above, giving the forest floor a mottled, glowing look. Chirps, rustling, and distant cries of wild Pokémon echoed from every direction.
Ash led the way, cradling the incubator with his newly gifted egg gently in one arm. Pikachu trotted just ahead, ears twitching. Misty walked a few steps behind—until something scuttled out of the grass.
It was a Caterpie, wiggling happily across the path.
Misty's scream could have scared off a flock of Pidgey.
"AAAAAAAHHHHH! BUGS!!! WHY DOES IT ALWAYS HAVE TO BE BUGS?!"
Ash nearly dropped the egg. "Whoa! Misty! It's just a Caterpie!"
"JUST?! That thing has a thousand legs and no right to look that slimy!" she shrieked, climbing up Ash's shoulder , like it was a lifeboat.
Ash quickly adjusted his hands one hand grabbing the egg , another hand grabbing her thighs,she didn't seem to notice it though because of her fear or she didn't care much about it cause it was Ash. Who knows?
Pikachu blinked, then chuckled softly. "Pika pi…"
After putting Misty down and putting the egg in the backpack.
Ash knelt down with interest. "Huh… this Caterpie looks strong for its size."
Must be the caterpie Original Ash caught a protagonist's Pokemon will never be weak .
When Ash released his Butterfree it was
really sad.well it doesn't matter now even if Butterfree is weak and just decides to settle down with a family he can just mate in his personal dimension.
He pulled out a Net Poké Ball, hand twitching with excitement. "Alright! Time for my first wild catch after a while since this journey started!"
"Poké Ball—go!"
The ball hit the Caterpie and wobbled once… twice… click!
Ash pumped his fist. "Yes! I caught a Caterpie!" [A/N :- Bruh what are u a kid ?]
Misty looked like she wanted to be anywhere else. "Good for you. I'll just stay up here and try not to faint."
Ash thought 'oh I really forgot about her fear of bug type Pokemons and gyradoes. I have to do something about that.'
As they continued deeper into the forest, they encountered more bug-type Pokémon: Weedle, Metapod, and even a swarm of Beedrill that Misty nearly fainted over.
Ash accidentally startled one by poking a tree.
A loud buzz followed.
"Uhhh… guys?" Ash took a cautious step back as multiple Beedrill emerged from the trees. "RUN!"
They dashed through the woods, Misty shrieking the whole way.
"I HATE THIS FOREST!"
Pikachu used a Thunder bolt mid-run to zap a few Beedrill out of their path.
Eventually, they found shelter under a large fallen log near a stream. Panting and soaked in sweat, the three collapsed in a heap.
"Well," Misty panted, "that was horrifying."
Ash chuckled, wiping his forehead. "Come on, it's not that bad. The forest is full of wild Pokémon. That's what makes it exciting."
"Exciting," she muttered, glaring, "is catching a Horsea in a quiet lake. Not running for your life from angry sky-spears!"
Ash grinned and opened his Pokédex to check Caterpie's stats. "Still, Caterpie's my first wild catch here. I'll train it well."
The egg in the incubator pulsed faintly, and Ash glanced at it warmly. "And soon, you'll be joining the team too, little guy."
As the sun began dipping low in the sky, the group set up a small camp near a clearing. Ash trained Caterpie a little, Misty carefully kept her distance, and Pikachu helped Ash for dinner.
Night settled over Viridian Forest, stars blinking to life above the treetops.
Ash lay beside the egg, arms behind his head.
Pikachu curled up beside him.
Misty sighed from her sleeping bag, glaring at a nearby tree just in case another bug decided to crawl out. "If I see another Caterpie in the morning, I swear I'll scream again."
Ash chuckled softly.
And with that, they drifted off to sleep—
When they slept peacefully Ash's Caterpie and Pikachu were near the egg watching the stars above talking to each other. Ash's other Pokemons also came out of their Pokeballs Eeevee ,Pigdeotto,Arbok and poliwag. They just slept nearby.
Spearow also came out looking less angry as he has already talked with Ash and decided to stay.
But he didn't like Pigdeotto so he shot him a mocking glance. Challenging him for a battle
"Row! spe! row! " (Hmph trash dare to battle?) and Pigdeotto not one to back down accepted the challenge. "Pi! pi! ( I accept idiot) "
They both took off for a flying battle and Caterpie was also watching them wishing he could fly. Pikachu noticed and consoled him and said "pi ka Pikachu "( don't worry buddy when you evolve into Butterfree you can also fly)
Caterpie had a determined look. " Wii wui"
(Yeah one day I will also fly)
