The Bond Is Broken
***Arin's POV***
The building trembled so violently that I was unable to stand. Dust filled the air and stone chunks smashed down all around us.
"Everyone out!" Alpha Vaughn yelled. "The entire establishment is collapsing!"
However, I was immobile. The triplets were still on the ground, gasping for air. I had no intention of abandoning them.
"We must leave, Arin!" In an attempt to pull me away, Siena grabbed my arm.
"No!" I pulled away. "I refuse to abandon them!"
Jaxon was just inches away when another massive piece of the ceiling fell. We would all be devastated if we lingered here much longer.
At that moment, an incredible event occurred. Rowan opened his eyes.
"Rowan!" I lowered myself beside him. "You're all right!"
However, he wasn't feeling well. When he attempted to sit up, he immediately fell back down, and his face was as white as snow.
"Can't... move," he muttered. "Everything hurts."
