Chapter 26 - Power of Arlean Civilization

A week later, Nash solemnly wore the combat suit under his clothes as he readied for battle.

This week, he had done nothing but learn the basic void breathing method.

In his studies, Nash learned that breathing in a special way is not so easy to accomplish.

The term "breathing" refers to how one regulates the body through external and internal influences.

From the diaphragm, pulse of the heart, tension of muscles, state of the mind, all senses working at high speed, etc.

Without perfect control of the body, it would be impossible to master the basic void breathing method.

Camilla said she only learned the basic void breathing method when she advanced to the Void Warrior realm.

At this stage, one would have absolute control over each part of their body, achieving the minimum criteria to learn the basic void breathing method.

As for the other three members of the Crimson Phoenix Squad, they had already tossed the manual aside, gathering dust.

The basic void breathing manual was not basic at all.

Unless one had a prodigious talent out of this world, learning the basic void manual in advance was nearly impossible.

"But not me..." Nash thought with a smile.

Although he couldn't perfectly control his body, he had the runic space.

After a week of studying, Nash only needed to update the [Training Module System].

Once it was done, his training efficiency would advance by leaps and bounds.

Taking a C1 Sniper Rifle, two D1 pistols, and his C1 Short Knife, Nash boarded his car and drove to the Crimson Phoenix base.

"Nash, you're late!" Camilla said angrily.

"It's just a minute late..." Nash reasoned, looking at the time.

These days, Nash learned that Camilla was too stringent for time; if she set a time, one had better abide by it.

Otherwise, even being a few seconds late would earn a scolding.

"I don't care! Get down and give me 100 push-ups!" Camilla said, instructing him to start.

Meanwhile, hearing Camilla scolding Nash, Amber, Emily, and Hector chuckled silently.

"This is what you get for being tardy…" They thought with a smile

"Is this necessary?"

"Hmph! I'm your Captain, so you do what I say!"

"Fine, fine. Take back your whip; you might hit me accidentally," Nash said, seeing that Camilla was about to pull out her torture device.

After doing a quick 100 push-ups, Nash stood up, patting the dust from his clothes.

"Can we go now?"

"Yes, of course. If you hadn't been wasting our time, we would have left long ago." Camilla said, signaling Hector to prepare the equipment.

"Where are we going anyway?"

"Wait for the others; I will brief you on the mission..."

Soon after Hector prepared everything they needed, they boarded a long-distance flying car.

As they boarded the car, Camilla began the briefing of the mission.

"Our destination is Eastdam State, Lonoll City. The mission is to escort Lloyd Albrecht to Atral State."

"Albrecht Family? Aren't they one of the richest families on Earth? Why do they need the escort of our little gang?"

"Rich people also have troubles. This Lloyd guy wanted to get rich with his own abilities, so he set his sights on Atral City."

"What a stupid rich guy..."

With the wealth of the Albrecht family, they could just buy a piece of Atral City.

Why go through all this trouble?

If Nash were the guy, he would stay at home, enjoying the world's top resources without question.

"By the way, Captain, how did such a job fall to us? This is another state; it should be other gangs' turf."

"Heh! This is just a trick of those old squads in the Crimson Gang. They didn't want another group to rise among the ranks," Camilla said, sneering at those old guys.

The Crimson Phoenix Squad is just one of the many squads under the Crimson Gang.

If Camilla and her squad were to die on the mission, the resources they occupied would fall to the old squads.

"Can't we just leave the Crimson Gang, sister? We promised we would follow you," Emily said, hugging Camilla's arm.

With Camilla's strength as a Void Warrior, if they went to another place, they should have no problem thriving.

"That's right, Captain. To be honest, I don't like the nature of the Crimson Gang," Amber muttered.

The Crimson Gang is the largest gang in Atral State, involved in smuggling, gambling, prostitution, selling illegal goods, trafficking, and more.

Knowing the nature of the gang, if not for Camilla, they would have quit long ago.

"Stupid! Once you join the Crimson Gang, you can no longer quit!" Camilla reiterated, determined to erase their thoughts.

"Why not? Isn't it just some gang? With Captain's strength, living elsewhere shouldn't be a problem."

"If the Crimson Gang were that simple, it would have been toppled over the years. Don't you know that almost all the top organizations on Earth have connections with some families and groups in the Nova Sector?"

"Take the Crimson Gang, for instance. It is directly under the Crimson Family, earning some profit on Earth. And the Albrecht family, how could they maintain their wealth without some backing? Finally, the Blue Alliance, how do you think they persist without getting exterminated?"

Hearing this, the four were shocked.

The top family they were aiming to reach was no more than a dog shackled by others.

While the lower-class people hoped for a change, the rebel group they were pinning their hopes on had long been corrupt.

"How could the Arlean Civilization still keep Earth in their hands?"

"It's because the Arlean Civilization is strong!" Camilla said longingly.

"How strong?" Nash suddenly asked, wanting to gauge the enemy.

"I don't know exactly, but I heard that the Arlean Civilization has a War God powerhouse."

"War God powerhouse? How high is that?"

So far, he had only heard Void Warrior and Void Commander Rank; hearing the term War God, it seemed to be miles higher than the two.

"I don't know; it's too far away from us..."
