*I LIVE IN ISEKKAI* ARC 11 : ENVY ARC
Chapter 52 : "Battle of Ecolus Town"
As Michi, Appolo, Henu, Thelma, and Nian entered Ecolus Town, they were suddenly ambushed by a girl with rabbit ears and a fierce expression. She stomped on Nian's face, then held him by the scruff of his neck and slapped him repeatedly, shouting "Baka! Baka!"
Michi looked at Thelma with a smirk, and Thelma replied, "Bruh…" Michi and Appolo intervened, stopping the girl from further assaulting Nian. Nian's eyes spun like balls, and his cheeks showed clear handprints.
Henu bit Nian's tail to help him regain consciousness. Nian jumped up, holding his tail and crying out in pain, "Nya nya!"
The girl glared at Nian, her anger still evident. Nian introduced her as Chisa, the holder of the envy stone. Chisa punched Nian in the face, saying, "We don't have time for introductions! We have to run, they're here!"
The group followed Chisa through the alleys, finally reaching an old house at the edge of town. Chisa explained that she already knew who they were and warned them that she was a skilled rabbit girl.
As they rested, Chisa demanded that Michi and his friends protect them from the bounty hunters in exchange for their stones. Michi agreed, and just then, footsteps surrounded the house, and anonymous voices threatened to kill them all.
Chisa identified the attackers as members of the Bounty Hunters Guild, who didn't even know what they were fighting for. Nian added that they just needed to bring their dead bodies to their masters.
The battle began as the bounty hunters broke through the walls, armed and ready to fight. Michi's forehead stone turned red, and he readied his bow and knife. Appolo started chanting his attack spells, while Henu prepared his fire-equipped fists. Thelma moved her spikes, Nian extended his claws, and Chisa took a punching stance.
The fight was intense, with bloody scenes and cool battles. Michi shot arrows at the attackers, while Appolo unleashed his magic. Henu punched through walls, taking down multiple enemies at once. Thelma's spikes impaled several bounty hunters, and Nian's claws sliced through others. Chisa's punches took down anyone who got too close.
As the battle raged on, more bounty hunters arrived, armed with swords, guns, and dark magic. Michi and his friends fought valiantly, but they knew they couldn't keep this up for much longer.
Just as they thought they were gaining the upper hand, a new wave of bounty hunters arrived, led by a mysterious figure with a scarred face and a twisted grin. "You think you can defeat us?" he sneered. "We have the power of the shadows on our side!"
The battle was far from over, and Michi and his friends steeled themselves for the next wave of attacks. But they knew they couldn't do it alone. They needed a new plan, and they needed it fast.
Chapter 53 : "Bounty Battles"
As the second wave of bounty hunters approached, Michi, Appolo, Henu, Thelma, Nian, and Chisa steeled themselves for the next battle. The air was electric with tension, and the ground trembled beneath their feet.
The fight began with a loud crash, as Henu charged forward, his fists ablaze with fire. He punched through the bounty hunters' ranks, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake. Thelma followed close behind, her spikes slicing through armor and flesh with deadly precision.
Meanwhile, Michi and Appolo worked in tandem, their arrows and spells striking true time and again. Nian and Chisa fought side by side, their claws and punches a blur as they took down enemy after enemy.
The battle raged on, with blood and sweat mingling on the ground. The bounty hunters were relentless, but Michi's group held their ground, determined to protect each other and their mission.
As the fight wore on, the bounty hunters began to falter. One by one, they fell to the ground, defeated. Finally, the last hunter stood alone, his sword trembling in his hand.
Michi approached him, his forehead stone glowing red. "It's over," he said, his voice firm. "Surrender now, and we might spare your life."
The hunter snarled, but Michi's words struck a chord. He lowered his sword, and Michi's group surrounded him, their weapons still at the ready.
With the battle won, the group sat down to rest, their chests heaving with exhaustion. Chisa and Nian looked at each other, their eyes filled with deep love. They leaned in, their lips meeting in a tender kiss.
As they embraced, the others looked on, smiling. They knew that this moment was a rare respite from the battles ahead.
Chapter 54 : "Envious Pride"
After a well-deserved rest, Nian and Chisa called Michi and the others. With smiles on their faces, they asked Michi to take the stones now. Michi used his absorbing powers to snatch the stones from their hearts. As the stones left their bodies, Nian and Chisa felt a weight lift off their shoulders.
"We're free," Chisa said, tears of joy in her eyes. "We can live normal lives now, without the hunters bothering us."
Nian nodded, his eyes shining with happiness. "Thanks to you, Michi, Appolo, Thelma, and Henu. We owe you our lives."
"You never told them, did you?" Chisa asked Nian, her voice barely above a whisper. "That we were only alive because of the stones… and now we'll die."
Nian's eyes clouded over. "Those people already told us about this exact day… when the stones would glow, we'd die, no matter what."
Chisa's gaze fell upon Nian's face. "You sensed Michi's pains and didn't tell him, did you? You didn't want him to bear more pain."
Nian nodded, his voice cracking. "I couldn't… I couldn't let him suffer more."
Just then, a polearm pierced the air, striking Nian and Chisa with deadly precision. The weapon lodged itself in their bodies, connecting them in a gruesome embrace. Blood spurted from their mouths as they gazed at each other in horror.
A creepy voice echoed through the air, "How much you try to survive, you can't… you livestocks aren't allowed to disobey your owners."
As the voice cackled with glee, metal bars rained from the sky, encasing Nian and Chisa in a cage. Seven lions were dropped into the cage, their eyes fixed hungrily on the doomed couple.
The lions pounced, their claws tearing flesh and their jaws snapping bone. Nian and Chisa's screams echoed through the night, their bodies torn apart by the ravenous beasts.
Their limbs were ripped from their sockets, their organs devoured by the lions. Their skin was shredded, their muscles exposed to the cold night air.
The voice laughed maniacally, savoring the gruesome spectacle. "Release those hungry lions… get me some food… I'm eagerly waiting to enjoy this."
As the lions feasted, Nian and Chisa's lives slipped away, their bodies broken and battered beyond recognition. Their screams grew fainter, their bodies trembling with agony.
Finally, their bodies lay still, their eyes frozen in a permanent scream. The lions continued to devour their flesh, leaving nothing but bones and bloodstains behind.
The voice laughed one last time, its joy echoing through the darkness. "Delicious… simply delicious."
And with that, the darkness consumed everything, leaving nothing but the haunting memory of Nian and Chisa's brutal demise.
