Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: My Childhood Friend is Gwen

United States, New York, Queens.

Ding-a-ling! Ding-a-ling!

The doorbell of a standalone villa was being pressed continuously, but no response came for a long time.

At the door stood an extremely beautiful girl with short blonde hair, wearing a white shirt and athletic shorts. The youth and beauty typical of her age were displayed to perfection.

However, the girl's delicate face grew darker as time passed.

"Dad, wait for me here. I'm going to wake Leo up—he must be sleeping in again!"

Shouting toward the police car at the entrance, the girl took out keys from her pocket and skillfully opened the front door.

Walking through the living room and up to the second floor, she pushed open the door to the master bedroom of the house.

Sure enough, steady breathing could be heard from the bed.

A black-haired young man was sleeping soundly, his handsome features catching the eye.

But what was most attractive was his perfectly sculpted physique.

Full of power yet gracefully curved, perfectly proportioned—nothing like the exaggerated build of overly muscular athletes.

Even though she had grown up with him and witnessed firsthand how the boy had developed these muscles bit by bit, the girl still blushed.

Reluctantly, she gave his chest muscles—which weren't much smaller than hers—a playful squeeze before shouting loudly:

"Leo! Get up! Why can't you get hard?"

"I've been pressing the doorbell forever."

What the hell!

I can get hard just fine—how can I not get hard!

The boy, who had been sleeping groggily, suddenly jolted awake from the bed: "Gwen, you can't say things like that carelessly. See, I'm up now."

"I'm going to make breakfast. You go wash up quickly. If you're not ready by the time I finish cooking, you know the consequences."

Gwen ignored the boy's protests and issued her ultimatum.

She shook Leo vigorously before hurrying downstairs to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. Due to time constraints, she could only make simple sandwiches.

She was confident she knew this place better than its owner—Leo himself.

Hearing Gwen's threat, the boy resignedly climbed out of bed and went into the bathroom to wash up.

Leo, a transmigrator.

Once, while attending a comic convention, he had bought a set of Dragon Ball figurines.

Looking at the seven Dragon Balls arranged neatly together, Leo suddenly had a major case of eighth-grader syndrome.

Imitating the anime, he wished to become a Saiyan. A golden light flashed, and he transmigrated to this world, becoming an abandoned orphan.

The Dragon Balls responded to his wish, indeed granting him a Saiyan physique.

Not only that, but they also gave him all of Goku's training memories up to Super Saiyan 2 transformation, and even removed the signature tail.

This made Leo a Saiyan without any flaws.

The only mistake was that the world he arrived in wasn't the Dragon Ball universe, but the Marvel universe.

He only realized this when visiting a museum and seeing the famous American shield.

The house he now lived in was also inheritance left to him by the old grandmother who had adopted Leo after she passed away.

For Leo, this was quite a good start.

Although the Marvel world was dangerous, based on Leo's years of observation, this place was more similar to the movie universe, with no mutants yet.

It wasn't exactly safe, but it was certainly much better than the Dragon Ball world.

You have to know that the humans on Earth in the Dragon Ball world were truly pitiful—who knows how many times they'd been revived by the Dragon Balls.

Moreover, he had transmigrated relatively early. It was only 2008 now, giving him plenty of time to develop.

Tony Stark was still conducting his cover girl evaluations and hadn't yet become the Iron Man who would usher in a new era.

"Leo! Are you done yet! Dad is still waiting outside!"

Gwen's call came from downstairs. Leo casually fixed his hair, put on an undershirt, wore his wrist guards, threw on a short-sleeved shirt, and quickly went downstairs.

"Take the sandwich and let's go quickly—we're going to be late."

Gwen placed the sandwich she had just made into Leo's hands and pushed him toward the door.

The breeze slightly lifted the girl's skirt hem, and Leo glanced over.

Good, safety shorts. That's more like it.

"If you make me late on the first day, you'll be washing your own clothes this semester."

Gwen didn't notice his small gesture and continued nagging.

Leo immediately raised his hands in surrender, quickened his pace, opened the police car's back door, and got in.

Looking at the white-haired man sitting in the driver's seat with a darkened expression, he greeted him as if nothing had happened.

"Hey, Uncle George."

Damn it, he's actually eating sandwiches made by my daughter—I don't even get that treatment!

George Stacy, Gwen Stacy's father and also the police captain of this district.

Leo wasn't surprised to have become Gwen Stacy's childhood friend.

Damn it, he had transmigrated—what was wrong with getting a wife at the start?

Son Goku had Chi-Chi, so what was wrong with Leo having Gwen?

Nothing wrong with that!

Being able to meet her was fate. Leo didn't care about her supposed important role in the so-called plot.

This was a real world. Since Gwen had met him, everything in the future would be different.

"Sorry Dad for making you wait. Let's hurry to school."

Gwen got in the car and apologized to her father. George, who had been gritting his teeth, immediately smiled and responded cheerfully, starting the car.

Tsk, such a daughter-obsessed father.

Even though George found Leo very annoying, he could only restrain his petty thoughts when Gwen was present.

The car moved forward quickly and very smoothly.

Leo finished the sandwich in a few bites. Gwen, obviously knowing his appetite, handed him another one.

Worried that Leo might choke, she also opened her water bottle and told him not to eat just dry food.

George, who was driving and witnessed this scene, was so angry his molars were about to crack.

He had dreamed of receiving such considerate treatment but had never gotten it even once.

Damn brat! You really deserve to die!
