Dick jumps in between Huntress and the man.
"Great. The boy wonder came out to ruin the party." The Huntress says.
Nightwing smirks.
"First, please don't call me that again. Second, I came to make sure you didn't go too far."
The Huntress scoffs.
"Jesus, you sound just like him."
The man against the wall then starts to run away.
"Great job, bird boy, you just let him get away."
Dick quickly grabs a trashcan lid and throws it without looking, hitting the man in the back of the head. He then looks at Huntress and smiles as she rolls her eyes at him.
"Show off." She says, walking past him.
She picks up the unconscious man by the shirt.
"You're not going to get anything out of him." Dick says.
"Don't worry, I know how to wake him up." The Huntress says, raising her fist towards the man.
Dick quickly grabs her arm.
"That's not what I meant. He's a low level thug, he's not gonna know where Frankie Black is hiding."
"Oh."
Huntress drops the unconscious man and stands to her feet.
"So, let me guess. This is your city, your case, and you want me to stay out of it. How's that, am in the ballpark?"
Dick chuckles a little.
"I get the feeling that even if I did say that, you wouldn't listen."
Huntress smirks.
"Smart boy."
"How about you and me work together to find Black. It'll be my first team up in awhile, could be fun."
The Huntress thinks to herself for a moment.
"Alright, fine. But if you call me Robin, I swear to God, I'll shoot you."
Dick chuckles.
"Sure thing. Alfred."
As Nightwing walks off, Huntress looks at him confused then follows.
Later, Chief Yin walks to the roof of the station. As she looks around, Nightwing and Huntress drops down behind her.
"Took you long enough. Who's she?" Yin asks.
"She's just passing through. So any updates on Frankie Black?"
Yin scoffs and pulls out a cigarette.
"No. We haven't been able to pick up so much as a trace of the bastard."
"Guys good at covering his tracks. Now that he's killed a cop, he's gonna probably try to leave town." The Huntress says.
"Some guys close to him hang out at a restaurant nearby. Let's see if one of them feels talkative."
Huntress nods and the two start to walk away.
"Please make sure you don't go overboard." Yin says.
"No promises." Huntress replies, jumping off the roof.
"She's just kidding. Probably." Dick says, following after her.
Yin sighs and continues to smoke.
As Nightwing and Huntress stand on a rooftop across the restaurant, they see multiple men in suits walking in and two men standing outside.
"Two guys at the door, a few more inside. Let's wait here to see if more people show up." Dick says.
"Fine with me. So, why do you do this, anyway?" Huntress asks.
Nightwing looks at her confused.
"Do what?"
Huntress walks up close to Dick and leans against the ledge of the roof.
"You know. The mask, the going out at night to fight crime, the tights that admittedly makes your ass look great. We're gonna be here for a minute, might as well open up to each other.
Dick chuckles, not answering for a minute.
"There was a moment, when I was a kid, that I lost... everything. Batman took me in, trained me, gave me a new purpose in life. Now, I fight for the little guy, and fight against people like Frankie Black."
The two vigilantes share a smile.
"And why did you leave Gotham?"
Dick let's out a sigh before answering.
"Things... happened, between me and Batman. He still saw me as the kid he took in and kept secrets from me. Me leaving Gotham, at first, was just meant to be an opportunity for me to decide if I still wanted to be Robin. Then I came across this city and realized that I couldn't be Robin anymore. If I was going to help the people in Bludhaven, I had to become something... new. So I became Nightwing, someone be a saftey net for others."
Huntress stares at Dick for a moment.
"What?"
"Nothing, it's just. You're different than what I was expecting."
The two look into each other's eyes for a moment, then Dick turns to the restaurant.
"Alright, time to move." Dick says.
