Same Day
Bianca
I was just sitting on the bed when I heard footsteps approaching. My heart skipped a beat as I held onto the duvet, my eyes narrowing at the door, fixated on the sound of the key that usually followed.
He's back, my chest screamed, loud and almost deafening.
My throat dropped to my chest as panic clawed over me. My eyes stayed fixed on the door, blinking. And just like that, the footsteps retreated.
Alex… was that him?
No one comes to this door at this time except him. Or was that Sonia?
My thoughts lingered as I slowly lay back on the bed, my arms still clutched to my chest.
Sonia, was she hiding something? Why did she seem so uneasy when she said those words?
My heart settled on her words for longer than I intended, and eventually, I shrugged them off.
My greatest desire now was to leave this room, and this entire house.
I scoffed. Days locked up without stepping out of this room… no phone, no access to the outside world.
My eyes rolled.
